At Hear Here we want to help protect your precious sense of hearing for as long as you possibly can, which is why we focus as much on all round ear health and hearing protection for those with healthy ears, as we do on helping those who are struggling with their hearing.
Director of Audiology Mark Coyle is no stranger to hearing loss, having grown up with a father who had almost no hearing in his left side as a result of surgery to resolve a serious recurring infection. Mark himself required surgery on his eardrums at only five years old to avoid a similar fate.
After passing his Hearing Aid Council exam with distinction, Mark initially dispensed with the Amplivox/Ultratone Group, being promoted within a matter of months to manage its Edinburgh Morningside Road store when it first opened. He joined Hidden Hearing in 2007 and less than a year later he was managing its Scottish operation, and in 2012 was also appointed its UK-wide National Compliance Manager.
It was during this time of attending many customer appointments observing recently qualified audiologists that Mark came to realise that despite a very successful management career, he was getting further and further away from his passion of helping people to hear better.
A firm believer that any business in the caring profession needs to put the customer at the very heart of what it does, Mark decided to set up Hear Here, bringing his caring, customer-centred approach directly to the fore once more.
